ATTRACTIONS

Ellis Lake:  Located in the middle of Marysville, this 32-acre lake offers paddle boating, picnicking, fishing, pleasant benches, and approximately a mile hike around the lake.

Sutter Buttes:  Seen in the distance, the world's smallest mountain range offers hiking, hunting, bird-watching, great photography situations, and other activities for nature lovers.

Feather River:  A great river for fishing, boating, rafting, and swimming.  Camping facilities are also available.

Yuba-Sutter Fair-2007:  This year's fair takes place from August 1st through August 5th.

40,000 participants visit this traditional parade that takes place the first Sunday of every November.

California State Fair
Cal Expo Fairgrounds / Sacramento
Not very far from Yuba County, the Cal Expo fairgrounds come alive every summer as the State Fair becomes a "city within a city" that hosts nearly one million visitors. Folks come from near and far for the memorable delights of this 154-year-old extravaganza that includes exciting exhibits, amazing attractions, live entertainment, and the Magnificent Midway. The 2007 California State Fair ran from August 17 - September 3, 2007. Look forward to the fair again next year!
